Before talking about Nestor Matt Gaetz adopted son and wife Ginger Luckey let’s give a brief introduction of Matt Gaetz.

Matthew Louis Gaetz, a well-known American lawyer and politician, has been representing Florida’s first congressional district since 2017. Born on May 7, 1982, he’s a member of the Republican party and has been associated with far-right ideologies. Gaetz rose to prominence as one of former President Donald Trump’s key congressional supporters. He hails from a political family, with his father, Don Gaetz, being a renowned Florida politician.

Growing up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Matt Gaetz pursued a legal career after graduating from William & Mary Law School. He practiced law privately before deciding to venture into politics. From 2010 to 2016, he served in the Florida House of Representatives. Gaetz gained national attention for endorsing Florida’s controversial “stand-your-ground statute” in the wake of Trayvon Martin’s 2012 killing.

In 2016, he transitioned to the U.S. House of Representatives and secured re-election in both 2018 and 2020.

Matt Gaetz Adopted Son Nestor Galban

Matt Gaetz, a prominent Republican congressman, has stirred up controversy with his assertion that Nestor is his adopted son. Gaetz openly refers to Nestor as his “son” on national platforms, without anyone really questioning the nature of this relationship that doesn’t involve a legal adoption.

Matt Gaetz recently shared the story of his father-son bond with Nestor Galban. Their journey began six years ago when Gaetz, then a state legislator, was dating Nestor’s older sister. Nestor, a 12-year-old Cuban boy who had just lost his mother to breast cancer, joined their family.

While Gaetz never formally adopted Nestor, he speaks passionately about their relationship. According to Gaetz, they have lived together as a family for most of the past six years, except for a brief interruption during Nestor’s junior year of high school when Gaetz and Nestor’s sister ended their relationship.
