Beth Holloway

Beth Holloway, Natalee’s mother, was married to Dave Holloway before their divorce in 1993. In 2000, she married George “Jug” Twitty, and they stayed together for six years. Natalee’s disappearance changed Beth’s life forever. Upon learning that her daughter had missed her flight back home to Aruba, Beth flew to the island to embark on a relentless search for Natalee.

From the start, she firmly believed that Joran van der Sloot and the Kalope brothers, Deepak and Satish, were responsible for Natalee’s disappearance. Beth was actively involved in the investigation and later became an advocate for personal safety.

She founded the International Safe Travels Foundation, dedicated to educating people about safe travel, and the Natalee Holloway Resource Center to assist families of missing persons. In 2010, Joran tried to extort $250,000 from Beth by falsely promising to reveal the location of Natalee’s remains.

His deceit led to charges of extortion and wire fraud. Despite the long journey, Beth was present in the courtroom when Joran finally confessed to killing her daughter.

Natalee Holloway

Natalee Holloway’s disappearance on May 30, 2005, in Aruba sparked a media frenzy and launched a nearly two-decade-long investigation into her vanishing. Tragically, the Alabama teenager was declared legally dead in 2012. However, it wasn’t until October 18 that the prime suspect, Joran van der Sloot, admitted to her murder in court after pleading guilty to extortion and wire fraud charges.

Despite the confession, Natalee’s remains are still undiscovered, leaving her family with lingering questions and grief.

Dave Holloway

Dave Holloway, Natalee’s father, divorced Beth in 1993 and later remarried Robin. He, too, played an active role in uncovering the truth about his daughter’s disappearance. Dave hired a private investigator to look into Natalee’s case, and the investigation was documented in the 2017 docu-series “The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway,” which aired on Oxygen.

Matthew Holloway

Matthew Holloway is Natalee’s younger brother and her only sibling. He was a high school sophomore at the time of his sister’s disappearance. Matthew got married and welcomed a daughter named Rylee in 2015. The disappearance of his beloved sister left Matthew devastated, and in 2010, he shared his belief that Natalee may have suffered a seizure on an Aruban beach, and Joran van der Sloot disposed of her body in the ocean.

Regardless of the circumstances, he knew that his sister was gone forever and wished that no one would have to endure such a tragic experience.
